Founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah, A restaurant discovery website and app, Zomato presently covers restaurants in 40 cities across 11 countries including India and sees over 15 million users globally. At the end of 2013, Zomato closed a 37 million USD investment from Sequoia Capitaland Info Edge India Ltd. valuing the company at about INR 1006 crores. They plan to use this investment to spread across 22 more countries in the next 2 years. Deepinder was also listed third in Impact’s Digital Power 100 List 2013 preceded byNandan Nilekani and Rajan Anandan. From a company that started out in a bedroom four years, ago, Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah sure have come a long way!

What started as a dorm room experiment to help people who didn’t have smart phones has ended up being touted as the world’s largest offline search engine. Deepak Ravindran founded Innoz when he and his roommate developed a service for accessing Internet tools via SMS. As of Nov 13, the service has processed over 1.3 bil requests from millions of users globally. Innoz has been rated by Forbes as among the “top 5 startups” and the business made the the MIT TR35 Innovator list
