At 10,000 Start-ups we are constantly building platforms and avenues for early stage tech startups and one of the prime areas where prototype stage companies seek our support is validation of their prototypes and opportunities to enter incubator and accelerator programs.
With that in mind, we partnered with IIM Bangalore and organized Disrupt It at IIM Bangalore’s EXIMIUS. Disrupt It was a launch-pad for technology startups at prototype stage who were looking for industry validation, mentoring and little bit of seed money.
The event hosted industry validation boot-camps on 7th & 8th August followed by a grand finale on 9th August. About 50 prototype stage start-ups, pitched to a panel of experts of their industry in the bootcamp and validation for their products.
The top 10 startups (based on the ratings of the industry experts) pitched at the Grand Finale to Ravi Gururaj (Co-founder Harvard Business Angels and Chairman, NASSCOM Product Council), Sunil Rao (Country Head-Startup Ecosystem at Google India Pvt Ltd), Rajinish Menon (Director – ISV & Cloud Strategy at Microsoft), Abhishek Gupta (Head -Tlabs) and Lalit Ahuja (Co-Founder, Kyron and Senior Strategic Advisor, Target) at IIM Bangalore’s Eximius.
The 10 startups that qualified for the finale also got a direct entry as a shortlist of the NASSCOM’s 10,000 Start-ups program. A brief snapshot of these companies is as follows:
