Overview

As India progresses towards overall growth, there is a definite need for a higher percentage of women entrepreneurs in technology which will account for better innovation, increased economic gains and a gender equal society.

To ensure real inclusion of women entrepreneurs in tech innovation, it was important to understand what is needed by these founders to overcome the challenges and grow their startups. nasscom Startups undertook a detailed survey to arrive at a deeper understanding of the resources needed by women entrepreneurs in technology. The findings revealed idea validation, networking, mentoring, market access, investor connects, access to government programs and schemes, learning from experts, knowledge sharing, marketing, legal and compliance as the key areas.

This learning added to our momentum and led to the crafting and launch of the Tech.WE by nasscom Startups. It is a program focused on empowering, inspiring and driving Tech Women Entrepreneurs across India to sustain and scale their businesses through deeper engagement.

Our Objective

The Tech.WE Program aims to create a strong and ongoing pipeline of Indian women entrepreneurs in technology and give them access to networks, connects, learning and resources that are needed to build scalable, profitable and global businesses.

nasscom Startups' vision is to evangelize and build the tech startup community in India. Today we are the strongest startup initiative and enabler in the country with a large network of 6,500+ startups pan India, incubation and accelerator support, corporate partnerships, government alliances, investor and mentor connects andother tools to supportstartupsto scale. Through Tech.WE we intend to impact a higher number of women-led innovation and successful technology startups.

Tech.WE Community 100 Tech Women Enterpreneurs

Tech.WE Measure

Tech.WE Measure will offer the opportunity of 'Idea Validation' to selected women-founded tech startups in the idea or early stage. The aim is to do a reality check of the business idea and evaluate if it has the potential to scale and become a success. The Idea Validation process includes structured, customized and detailed feedback by industry experts and experienced entrepreneurs. The advice will comprise of recommendations and actions to bring your business idea to reality.

Tech.WE Accelerator

The Tech.WE Accelerator is a detailed program focused on delivering advanced learning and engagement to women entrepreneurs in technology over 10 weeks. High potential startups from the Tech.WE Community Program will be chosen on the basis of the idea validation effort for the accelerator program. The aim is to pivot these startups to higher traction and success. The program will cover all important verticals for scaling a business:

Financials including equity, compliances and financial statements
Market strategy and customer fit
Funding
Creating a winning pitch
Branding and marketing
Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, copyright)
